Summit Speaker Guide

Thank you for choosing to participate in the 19th annual Algae Biomass Summit.  We look forward to working with you to ensure a quality experience on site. Please contact ccox@algaebiomass.org with any questions you may have regarding your speaking presentation and attendance at the Summit.

1. Complete your Summit registration and confirm your acceptance as soon as possible and no later than July 14, 2025. You will need to register online through the Algae Biomass Summit’s registration webpage. The discount code was sent to you in your official acceptance letter. If you are an ABO member, please be sure to sign in with your member credentials before you register. 

2. Please check the agenda to make sure your name, organization and abstract title are accurate and that you have updated your bio and headshot. You can view the agenda starting July 21, 2025. You will be required to download the Summit’s mobile app here Whova. Should you have changes, immediately email them to ccox@algaebiomass.org

4. Upload your presentationDeadline: October 1, 2025. You can find the website link and instructions to upload your presentation here https://driveuploader.com/upload/dxp6BwZlqB/. Presentations should be submitted in Microsoft PowerPoint and formatted in wide-screen (16:9) version. In order to deliver a polished onsite production, it is essential to have your presentation uploaded to our speaker presentation upload website before the deadline above.  For those needing to make revisions after the deadline, your presentation must be finalized no later than 72 hours prior to your presentation time. 

Guidelines for slide decks:

  • Presentations should be submitted in Microsoft PowerPoint, wide-screen 16:9. Name your file with your last and first name (ex. “LastnameFirstname.ppt”), and do not use commas, special characters or spaces in the file name.
  • Presentation timeframes will all vary. All panelists and keynote speakers will receive an email that is specific to their session. All Breakout session speakers have 12-minutes to present. All sessions have a 15-minute Q &A to at the end.
  • Presentations are to be educational and objective.
  • By accepting the role of speaker, you are granting permission for the Algae Biomass Organization to publish your presentation (PDF format) online after the event.
  • If your presentation includes a video segment, please bring your PowerPoint file and the video file, each saved separately on a flash drive, to the Speaker Resource Center. This will allow us to make sure that all components are uploaded successfully and perform as you expect.
  • To cover any mishaps, please bring to the conference a backup copy of your final presentation on a flash drive.
