New DOE Grant Opportunity: Bioenergy Technologies Incubator

Dear Algae Biomass Organization members,

The Department of Energy has recently published a new funding opportunity announcement (FOA) entitled “Bioenergy Technologies Incubator” that may be of interest to those developing innovative algae technologies.

This funding opportunity is intended to fund “novel and potentially disruptive ideas” which advance the Bioenergy Technology Office’s mission of developing sustainable, cost-competitive biofuels, bioproducts and biopower. The awards are expected to be between $500,000 and $2 million.

The funding will be awarded to “disruptive” proposals rather than those which offer incremental change in technology. The link below includes a summary of the FOA and information on how to apply:
