DOE Needs Your Input at the Algal Biofuels Strategy Workshop

Dear Algae Biomass Organization members,

Next month your company can help the Department of Energy prioritize federal efforts to commercialize algal biofuels by attending the upcoming Algal Biofuels Strategy Workshop.

The ABO strongly recommends that its members participate in this event and provide the DOE with updates on their own successes. The DOE will also be conducting breakout sessions to gather input on the following topic areas: Algal Biology, Cultivation, Process and Conversion, Scaling and Integration, and Analysis and Sustainability.

The Algal Biofuels Strategy Spring Workshop will be held March 26-27, 2014, in Charleston, SC at the Charleston Marriott.

The web page for the event includes further details, as well as a registration link, at www.eere.energy.gov/bioenergy/algal_strategy_workshop.html.

If you have questions about participating in this workshop, please contact the ABO’s legislative counsel, Laurie Purpuro, at laurie.purpuro@klgates.com.

We hope to see you there!
